"Plug in the Sun" workshop, geared towards groups of 9-12 years old. An interactive, curriculum-linked workshop focused on building the understanding of renewable energy and solar power. Students will learn about solar photovoltaic and solar thermal systems, and how solar panels have been used in a variety of innovations. Using interactive experiments, students will discover how angles, light color and certain elements can affect the energy output of solar panels. 1.5-2 hours total

"Solar Design Challenge" workshop, geared towards groups of 11-12 years old. The solar car challenge is a hands-on building activity that involves circuits, electricity, and renewable energy. It gives students the freedom to create their own cars, students are provided with a solar panel, motor, axle, gears, wheel and body. 1.5-2 hours total. This workshop can build upon the Plug in the Sun workshop for a half a day of learning combined.
