WHAT: Protect Every Park Gathering – Solidarity with
Japanese American Incarceration Sites
WHEN: Saturday, August 23rd, 2025 10:00am – 11:30,
pacific time, program at 10:15am.
WHERE: Seattle Waterfront Park – Overlook Walk (downstairs from Old Stove Brewing at Pike Place Market or pass the temporary
parking spots near the Pike Place Market Parking Garage Entrance until you see
our group).

WHO: Speakers include Bainbridge Island City Councilmember Clarence Moriwaki, Executive Director with the
Asian American and Asian & Pacific Islander Americans in Historic
Preservation Huy Pham, and artist Erin Shigaki representing Tsuru for
Solidarity and the Minidoka Pilgrimage Planning Committee. Support also from the Wing Luke Museum.
After the event, The Wing Luke Museum will lead a Japanese American Remembrance Trail tour (JART). This tour will lead back to the C-ID. Register required for the walk - space limited! (First come first serve):
OTHER: Please bring pro-park signs, use public
transit, if possible, as parking can be limited and expensive. The closest
available parking is the Pike Place Market Parking Garage.
Together we can bring attention to the plight of our parks
and demand Congress step in to make sure they’re taken care of now and for
generations to come.
