ART OPEN CALL - "Work of Art" Exhibition

www.blackworkerinitiative.com www.worksafe.org

Worksafe's Black Worker Initiative is pleased to announce an upcoming summit and art exhibition honoring the African American legacy within the labor movement. How do art & labor intersect for you?

We invite Black creatives to submit their artwork for display in accordance with our theme, “Work of Art,” in our gallery as part of the summit on August 15th 2025. Some examples of artists who were also labor activists include Toni Morrison (Novelist who explored slavery and racism in America), Chris Smalls (Amazon organizer & rapper) and Nichelle Nicols (Lt. Uhura & activist for diversity in television casting).

If you are a Black creative, whether an individual or collective, and feel inspired to contribute your visual or multi-medium art to our gallery, please submit your application by July 15th 2025. We are seeking a diverse range of works, including photography, paintings, sculptures, and interactive pieces.
