We are seeking a team of ten LGBTQ+ individuals, 16 years or older, to take part in a peer education and photography project that examines LGBTQ+ health from a personal lens. The project will run from October 2019 to June 2020. This is an opportunity to learn about health equity and tobacco in the LGBTQ+ and other marginalized communities, develop teaching skills, examine LGBTQ+ health from a personal lens, get creative, and connect to community.
Participants will complete a health disparities, health equity, and tobacco curriculum; receive training and mentorship in photography and writing for social change; and tell stories to advocate for LGBTQ+ health through photos and short writings. The project will end in two community exhibitions organized by the group.
To apply, please fill out the following form. We will start reviewing applications September 1st, final deadline for application submission, September 15th, 2019.
