The CLASP Fellows Program is a 2-year professional development opportunity for early to mid-career faculty and administrators who show potential for pedagogical leadership within their home institutions.
Eligibility: The CLASP Fellows program is aimed at early to mid-career university faculty and administrators who focus on teaching and learning. The fellows program is also restricted to individuals who are based at Open Society University Network (OSUN) partner institutions. We encourage applications from faculty and administrators who are interested in writing-based student-centered liberal arts pedagogy. The core of this fellowship is a deep exploration of Writing to Learn and Communication Across the Curriculum practices, but no previous experience with these practices is necessary.
Fellowship Structure, Expectations, Benefits:
Year One: 6 online modules (with synchronous and asynchronous components); 2 week-long in person workshops
Year Two: 4 online modules (with synchronous and asynchronous components); 2 week-long in person workshops; teacher research capstone project
This fellowship is intense and faculty will receive a $1000 stipend at the end of the program for their work. Fellows will also be invited to share their teacher research capstone projects with the larger OSUN network through online publication and CLASP events.
Once the formal fellowship concludes, all fellows will be expected to organize and facilitate 1 CLASP workshop per semester (open to the entire OSUN network) and offer support on their own campuses.
