Thank you for your interest in the Early Learning Center at the JCC of Youngstown. We offer early learning experiences for infants, toddlers, preschool, and PreK age children. Our small class sizes and gold rated teacher to student ratio foster an atmosphere of learning that is designed to inspire confidence, imagination, and lifelong critical thinking.
We currently have a waitlist for each of our classrooms. There are no "numbers" assigned to the waitlist. The ELC administrative staff will carefully review waitlist applications while considering the following criteria:
• Highest priority enrollment is offered to parents or legal guardians who are employees of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation* and who already have siblings enrolled in our program.
• Next priority enrollment is offered to parents or legal guardians who are employees of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation* and who do not currently have siblings enrolled in our program.
• Final priority enrollment is given to current ELC families who have siblings attending our center.
• Placement depends on the child's age. ELC classrooms are divided by ages so learning can happen in developmentally appropriate ways. Your application will automatically move to the next room as your child ages. For state licensing purposes, we will only place children within the correct age group.
*Qualifying agencies of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation include the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown, Heritage Manor, Levy Gardens, Jewish Family & Community Services, and the affiliated Akiva Academy
The waitlist application places your child's name onto the
ELC program waitlist. This form is not an application and
does not guarantee your child's enrollment into a program
by the date specified on the form. Children will remain on
the waitlist for six months. Please renew your application
every six months.
A tour of our center does not replace the waitlist
application. A tour may be scheduled with an ELC
administrator at 330.746.3250 ext. 123.
