2026 SoCal Showdown Volunteer Application
SoCal Showdown is back! In the same venue as the Los Angeles District Event! Join us for a weekend of FIRST REBUILT gameplay as we inspire the next generation of STEAM innovators.

When: October 9-11, 2026 (with Friday Night Load-In & Field Time) 
Where: Da Vinci Schools (201 N Douglas St., El Segundo, CA 90245)

Volunteers are essential to our event. As appreciation for your assistance, all volunteers will get a SoCal Showdown volunteer shirt and be provided all meals during their shift. 
Please apply by Friday, September 18, 2026 to guarantee your shirt size availability. Extras will be available for later applicants, but the corrext size is not guaranteed.

Are you willing to help with event set up/load in on Friday, October 9th? *
This will start at 8 AM, prefer all-day commitment, but let us know what your availability is that day. Lunch will be provided for those staying all day.
Are you willing to help with event tear down/load out on Sunday, October 11th? *
This will take place between approximately 6 PM and 9 PM. No meals will be provided.

Assignment to a volunteer role is not guaranteed, and the planning committee will reach out to confirm assignments before the event. The planning committee may also reach out to confirm qualifications for specific roles before the event, at the email provided above. We may need to shuffle people to other roles due to demand.

Roles marked with ^ are key roles for which we prefer experience. If you don't have experience in one of these roles, consider applying as a trainee/shadow. Roles marked with * should plan to attend field setup on Friday.
