Consent to Participate in Undergraduate

1. Project Purpose: You are invited to participate in a project conducted
as part of the Research Methods in Psychology course at the University of South
Carolina. The purpose of this class is to help students to improve their
knowledge and provide experiences with research techniques and methods. For this project, I am exploring the correlation between happiness and college social life. All information collected will be de-identified,
aggregated and analyzed. Your name will not be connected to your
responses or with the information collected about you. All information
obtained will be treated confidentially.
2. Procedures to be followed: If
you agree to participate, you will be answering questions about your personal happiness, social life, and demographics.
3. Duration/Time: Your participation will require 5 minutes.
4. Statement of Confidentiality: Your participation in this project is
confidential and safeguards are in place to protect your confidentiality.
5. Right to Ask Questions: If you have any questions or concerns, feel free
to contact my mentor or Office of Undergraduate Research at 803-777-1141 or
our@sc.edu
6. Voluntary Participation: Your decision to be in this project is voluntary. You
can stop at any time. You do not have to answer any questions you do not want
to answer.
