EDUCATORS - NZ JAZZ SUPERDOCUMENT
This form aims to create a database of all of jazz education programs in New Zealand. It is part of a wider attempt to collect data on jazz activities in NZ, bringing this thriving scene to the attention of major funding entities such as Creative New Zealand and NZ On Air, and achieving greater representation within them.
In time, we hope to be able to use this data to connect creators, venues, festivals, education providers and audiences, building better networks and increasing the reach and scope of jazz activities in NZ and internationally.
By filling in this form you agree that the information you provide can be shared among interested parties. Jazz Aotearoa is a not-for-profit entity and will not use the very limited personal information required for any purposes other than those stated above. You will not receive any email correspondence from Jazz Aotearoa unless you request it.
ON THE DEFINITION OF "JAZZ EDUCATORS":
This form does not intend to collect a list of music teachers. Instead, we intend to collect information on programs, such as those provided by high schools, tertiary institutes, summer schools, community colleges etc, that provide jazz education. We intend to get as complete a picture of jazz activities in NZ as possible: with this in mind, even if your program is not jazz focussed, but still provides some jazz education, we STILL want to hear from you! Answering these questions helps us know not just WHO is involved but WHEN, WHERE, and HOW MUCH.
