Department Issued Boots-Your Experience
The department recently purchased station footwear for all members of the department. The decision to purchase this particular boot was made without the input and feedback from Local 36 and its members. Although we believe that station footwear should be issued by the department, we don't think it should be the exclusive footwear.

It was the recommendation of the safety committee to conduct a wear trial of multiple pairs of station footwear to determine which boot or boots would be best suited for our members.  We are asking everyone who has been issued boots to please provide feedback directly to Local 36.  If the safety committee has any follow-up questions to your responses they may contact you.  If you would like to reach out to them directly, you can email
