Altar Care
The Altar Care teams have a special part in preparing for the Holy Eucharist. They prepare the communion ware, wine and bread before worship begins. Clean up follows each worship service. The team will also set up for the following service. Training is set up for all volunteers.
Fellowship
Fellowship is a time for guests and members to connect. Coffee is served at 10am between worship services. Volunteers are needed to order and pick up donuts, make coffee, set up refreshments, serve, and clean up. Training is set up for all volunteers.
Welcome Team
The Welcome team is made up of teams of 5 people. Each team will welcome guests, distribute any handouts that are necessary, and collect offering during a designated worship service. Families are welcome to serve together in this ministry.
Information Center
The Information Center is the “first contact” for many of our members and guests and serves as a place of welcome and information. It is the central location for all materials pertaining to event sign-ups, membership and school. Volunteers will help people as needed with general church/school information and event sign-ups.
Presentation of Gifts
This is an opportunity for families to take part in the Eucharistic Liturgy by presenting the bread and wine to the pastor in preparation for Holy Communion.
Candle Care
Weekly duties include filling candles and changing colored banners.
Acolyte
Acolytes assist in carrying the torches and crucifix in procession for Eucharist and assist the pastors in other ways as needed.
Music Ministry
Pianist/Organist
Use your talents to accompany or perform piano solos or play for worship.
Cantors
These singers lead the congregation in the Kyrie, Psalm, and/or Gospel Acclamation at Saturday, 5pm and Sunday, 9am.
Instrumentalist
We invite those who play brass, woodwind, string and percussion to use their talents and particpate in various intrumental ensembles for special services.
Trinity Handbells
This group participates in worship primarily at the Saturday 5pm and Sunday 9am services. It is open to senior high students and adults. Reading music is a prerequisite. Practice is Thursday at 5:30pm, perform Saturday/Sunday.
Trinity Choir
This group sings primarily at the Saturday 5pm and Sunday 9am services. It is open to senior high students and adults. Reading music is not required. Practice is Thursday at 6:30pm, perform Saturday/Sunday.
Worship Team
This group leads the contemporary worship at the Sunday 10:30am services. Vocalists and instrumentalists are needed. Practice is Tuesday at 7pm, perform Sunday.
Sound Board Operator
Duties include: Monitoring sound levels, turning on/off microphones - Training required. You must be timely and have dependable transportation.
Worship Slide Operator
Duties include: attention to detail in worship, general knowledge of songs in worship, working knowledge of computers, dependable transportation necessary - Training required.
Care Ministry
Caring for our Elderly
A visit, phone call, card, or meal can bring great joy to someone who is confined to their home or in nursing home care. You will be given the name of an elderly member, who you will contact once or more a month with an act of kindness and care. This is a wonderful way for a family to serve together.
Meal Team
Volunteers for this ministry are expected to help with cooking meals for those in the congregation that need some help due to a large life event. A website is used to organize this ministry.
Transportation Team
Transportation Team volunteers take a person to and from an appointment. You would serve on an as needed basis. You must have a valid driver's license, carry auto insurance and be able to assist person in getting into and out of the vehicle.
Family Care
The care of our families who are expecting a baby is an incredible opportunity to reach out with a helping hand. This ministry is also available to anyone who suffers a miscarriage, stillborn birth, or any other crisis.
Prayer Chain
Be a part of the email prayer chain and pray for your brothers and sisters at Trinity and all those who seek support in prayer.
Children and Youth Ministry
MOPS Childcare
We are in need of four caregivers to volunteer sharing their love with babies through three year olds from 8:30-10:45 once a month on the third Thursday.
Leaders for Children's Classes
The spiritual well-being of our children is important. Volunteers are needed to lead the children in Bible activities, crafts, and games based on the theme of the day on Wednesday evenings (6:30-8pm) and childcare workers are needed on Sundays from 10:30-11:30am.
FourTwelve
Small group leaders are needed who are comfortable spending time with youth grades 6-8, willing to have fun, and open to sharing their faith experiences to help students. This is a year long commitment on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8pm. Background checks are administered.
Sanctus
Small group leaders are needed who are willing to connect with youth grades 9-12, engage them in conversations, and share in a life together. This is a year long commitment on Sunday evenings. Background checks are administered.
Events
Trinity offers various events that provide a time of fun and gathering for our members. They allow us to welcome guests in a unique way. Consider serving on one of the following committees.

First Tuesday at CCS
We meet at Church Community Services in Elkhart (907 Oakland Avenue), from 6-8pm. Children 10 and over are welcome to serve if accompanied by an adult.
Church Community Services Food Drive
Commit to bringing non-perishable food items to the food collection area. Contribute as often as you are able throughout the year. Your donations stay local and are distributed through Church Community Services Food Pantry.
Church Community Services Bag Sorting
This group meets to inspect, fold, and pack plastic grocery bags into boxes to be used at CCS food pantry.
Quilting Ministry
This group meets on the second Thursday of each month in the school art room from 9-11am to make baby quilts for various organizations. No sewing experience needed.
Fellowship Team/Event/Reception Team
This group is called upon if we have a special reception or event that will offer refreshments. Planning, preparing food, setting up, serving, and cleaning up are all part of this hospitality based ministry.
Facility
Mowing Grass
Adopt a garden
Families can adopt a garden area at our facility. Duties would include weeding, tree trimming, and planting flowers in the spring in garden areas. Children welcome.
Cleaning
Duties would include cleaning windows, dusting areas, and other light work as directed by the Facilities Director.
Pew Crew
A group comes in once a month to dust pews, window sills, pictures and altar area, and to fill the pew racks.
Office Helper
Helpers are needed occasionally for assembling mass mailings, shredding, data collection and small projects.
