Congratulations on your acceptance to Windward Community College!
New Student Orientation (NSO) is REQUIRED if Windward is the first college you have attended. For returning and transfer students, NSO is RECOMMENDED (especially if you haven't been to college in awhile)!
At NSO you will learn about:
- What classes to take & how to register,
- Academic planning,
- Campus resources, and more!
NSO lasts about an hour. We offer in-person (on campus) and online (live, virtual) orientation sessions (see below for details).
If you didn't submit any placement information for Math or English on your application (e.g. high school GPA, ACT/SAT, GED, SBAC, HiSET, etc.), please bring this information with you to NSO. You may also email this information to
After attending NSO, if you are a First-Time College student, the hold that has been placed on your account for New Student Orientation will be removed. You will then be ready to make an appointment with your academic counselor to register for classes!
