The European Girl's Olympiad in Informatics (EGOI) is an international competition in programming aimed at high school girls. It is a unique opportunity for girls interested in technology to get to meet likeminded people and industries as well as getting to test their skills on an elite level. During the 15-21st of July 2023 EGOI is held in Lund and is organized by LTH and Kodsport. During this week there will be lectures, excursions, banquettes and, of course, two days worth of competitions. There will be around 200 participants from 40 countries and if you want to contribute to making EGOI 2023 an amazing event, you can apply to be a volunteer right here.

As a volunteer you will be helping either during the event, or both before and after the event, depending on what you are interested in.

Positions which have responsibilities during EGOI is:
Guide
As a guide you will mentor one of the teams for a week and make sure that the flow of information to the competitors work and that they have everything they need. This is a fun role where you have the chance to make friends from a different country. We are looking for people who are social, outgoing, good at taking responsibility and wants a very eventful week during the summer.
General volunteer
As a general volunteer you will have a mixed arrangement of tasks during the event. You may be responsible for different stations, meet up delegations at the airport, distribute food to the participants, help the leaders with problems that may occur and follow them between stations etc. We are looking for people who are good at taking responsibility, and can work together with others.
Company Contact
As a company contact you will be responsible for all communication with one of our sponsors and make sure that they get the information they need and that they have the possibility to come to us with all of their thoughts and questions. This is a unique possibility to establish strong connections within a large tech-company.
Positions which have responsibilities before and during EGOI is:
Ceremony host (konferencier)
At EGOI there will be one opening ceremony and one closing ceremony. As a ceremony host you will lead the audience through these ceremonies. We are looking for people who enjoy speaking in front of an audience.
Event
As event-volunteer you will be helping our event responsible by being responsible for one of the events that will take place during the week. This can be ceremonies, excursions, lectures etc. During the rest of EGOI when your event isn't happening you will have the same responsibilities as a general volunteer.
PR
As a PR-volunteer you will be creating content for our social media, be photographer/videographer during the event and maybe edit these after the event. You will do this in cooperation with our Head of PR.
