This is a 7 hours PDC taught by trainer Jean Wang via half day classroom lecture and half day site visits.

By the end of the course, tourist guides will gain knowledge of the flora and heritage of the Singapore Botanic Gardens and its significance as the first and only tropical garden to be accorded the stature of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They will also learn pertinent information that can be used to create tour commentaries that will enhance the visitor’s experience at the Gardens.

Terms for SSG Funding & Important Admin 
• Trainee has NOT attended the same course before even in a different language.
• Trainee MUST achieve at least 75% of the training hours 
• Trainee MUST pass the assessments
• Trainee MUST provide ALL required information accurately.
• Trainee MUST provide copy ID to STGS for verification when requested
• Trainee MUST download SingPass Apps & use SingPass*** to take SSG digital attendance during class. STGS & trainer reserve the rights to request the trainee to leave the class for non compliance.
• Trainee MUST printscreen & email the SingPass login to finance@societyoftouristguides.org.sg as evidence to appeal with SSG.  
• STGS reserve the rights to claim back FULL Fee from trainee for any false declaration & unclaimable fee due to non cooperation / non compliance by trainee
• Company sponsored Singaporean/PR (paid by company) may be eligible for absentee payroll ****

Refund Policy
• No refund 7 working days prior to course start date unless for compassionate reason
• Trainees who fail to show up for course without valid reason (last-minute job are not valid) cannot request to change date or change course. The amount paid by trainee shall be forfeited for no show.

Privacy Policy
• Information collected are used for processing of SSG funding & STB PDC submission only.
• STGS will update STB TRUST within 5 working days from class completion day. 
• STGS reserve the rights to cancel, postpone or amend the date and time of the course delivery

UTAP Funding    
This course has been approved for support under the Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP) from 19 May 2022 to 31 March 2027. NTUC members are required to fulfil the following conditions to be eligible for UTAP reimbursement:

- Paid-up union membership before course commencement, throughout whole course duration and at the point of claim
- Course by training provider must be supported under UTAP, and training must commence within the supported period
- Course must not be funded through company sponsorship or other types of funding
- Unfunded course fee must be S$20.00 and above
- Member must achieve a minimum of 75% attendance for each application and sat for all prescribed examination(s), if any
UTAP application must be submitted within 6 months after course completion
