Facilities Coordinator Application
Asmbly Makerspace is looking for a part-timer to join our community as Facilities Coordinator.

This role is communication-centric and team oriented — we're looking for someone who is excellent at working with others to reach a common goal — maintaining an awesome shop space with high machine uptimes.

Applicants should be familiar enough with shop tools to be comfortable performing basic maintenance and repairs (at minimum, must be willing to learn).  The woodshop is our largest shop space with the most tools and highest usage, therefore we're looking for candidates with experience or interest in this area.

If this sounds like you, please apply :D

About Asmbly
Our mission is to enrich Austin’s creative community by providing a top notch space with tools and educational opportunities in a multidisciplinary, inviting, and member-focused setting.  As an educational nonprofit, we strive to have classes across all shop areas available to both our members and the community at large.

Asmbly was created in 2019, but began operating in April 2021 after joining forces with ATX Hackerspace.  We were originally a 100% volunteer-run organization and achieved considerable growth in a short few years.  2022, was the first year Asmbly had any paid staff and we continue to operate primarily through dedicated volunteer efforts with a limited number of staff.

We have a wide range of shop areas and equipment, but one of our best features is our community.  Asmbly members are passionate about making, exploring new ideas, and sharing with others.  Are you of a similar mindset and interested in helping grow our membership?
