Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Relief Funds
The Valley View Local School District is seeking input from stakeholders regarding the third round of Elementary and Secondary Schools Emergency Relief (ESSER III) funding programs offered to K-12 schools nationwide. The federal government has dispersed these funds in response to the social and economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and a requirement of funding includes the development of a plan to address learning loss experienced due to reduced in-person learning since the closure of schools in March 2020.
The district will receive approximately $2 million in ESSER III funds to be spent over the next three years, and a minimum of 20% ($400,000) must be reserved to address learning loss through the implementation of evidence-based interventions.
Your participation in this survey will assist district leadership in finalizing our plan so that we may begin providing additional resources to our students at the start of the 2021-22 school year.
