2027 Virginia Tech Invitational Registration Form

The Virginia Tech Division C Invitational will be held on January 30th, 2027.

The tournament will take place on Virginia Tech’s campus in Blacksburg, VA, and will be entirely in person. 

  • The team cap is set at 36 teams, with any teams registering after that team cap being placed on a waitlist in case of any cancellations (Virginia teams will get priority off this waitlist)
  • The registrations fees are $125 for each team, with a max of 2 teams. (Schools that qualify for the VASO Outreach Initiative will instead pay $65. The schools that were signed up for our in-person invitational and stuck with us through our transition to an online invitational will instead pay $100.)
  • We also have fun trial events this year! 

Please Note: Due to increased demand this year, as we're hosting States, we will be decreasing the max team count per school to 2 teams. Your school's third team can be put on a waitlist so that if the 36 team count is not filled a third team per school may be invited. You will be notified that your third team is eligible by email after the registration period closes.

Events will be fully run by experienced Science Olympiad volunteers supplied by SO@VT (test-writing, supervising, grading).

Further tournament details such as payments, tournament day schedule, event list, and more will be released after registration closes. Expect an email confirming we received your registration request a week after submitting this form, and the first round of acceptance emails on October 19th.
