2026 Application for Early Career Research Grants
ASEH will award up to six $500 grants in 2026 to support early career scholars doing research in environmental history. In this case, an early career scholar is defined as someone enrolled in a graduate program or a recent PhD graduate (past three years) on the job market or who is in a post-graduate, contingent, or faculty position. The evaluating committee will prioritize applicants with unmet financial need and a demonstrated commitment to ASEH. Applicants must be ASEH members in good standing. Applications will remain open until January 31, 2026.
