Hello! The Louisiana TGNC Name Change Fund (a joint project of Louisiana Trans Advocates’ Nom Noir and Real Name Campaign NOLA) is looking for empathetic, kind, and detail oriented folx to volunteer as Peer Supporters/Navigators to assist TGNC community members who are embarking on the task of legally updating their IDs. We are also seeking volunteers who may want to solely be Researchers, Drivers, and Notary Publics.

The purpose of this work is to directly assist TGNC people with the name change process in order to have updated IDs, and to engage volunteers and name change seekers in the larger struggle for TGNC liberation.

We are looking for Peer Support Volunteers who identify as TGNC or are part of the broader LGBTQIA+ community. Allies are also welcome to apply if they have experience/knowledge (informal or formal) of the legal name/gender marker change process or other work supporting TGNC people.
