Healing HeARTS was envisioned in response to the growing number of hate crimes directed towards Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, LGBTQ+ folks, and an altogether concern for hatred and bigotry directed towards all marginalized communities since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. A big part of this project will emphasize how communities of various backgrounds have worked together to achieve common social justice goals. With this project, we hope to encourage connection, collaboration, and expression.
Healing HeARTS Community Discussion Spaces is a safe space and transformative justice circle intended to fostering toughing conversations and creating community. Discussion topics and themes center around mental health, healthy relationships, and social justice.
