21.-27.03.2025 | Weimar & Berlin (Germany)

The events in six different European countries, starting with the seminar in Weimar & Berlin (Germany), 21.-27.03.2025 (current call) will seek to interrelate four central aspects: firstly, each event will focus the question how major historical events in the visited countries are represented in the local/regional/national culture of remembrance. Secondly, each event will question in how far past or contemporary local/regional/national culture(s) of remembrance shape the political and social dynamics in the visited countries. Thirdly, each event will bring insights into the local practices of historic civic education. Fourthly, space for exchange, networking & collaboration among participants about related questions & topics will be provided.

Expected profile of participants

Youth workers, (civic) educators, teachers, trainers, staff of museums & remembrance places, researchers, representatives of civil society organisations etc. with interest and strong background in historic-civic (youth) education from Erasmus+ programme countries.
