The TEDxUGA Student Council will host the Student Idea Showcase on Wednesday, November 14th, 2018 from 7:00P-9:00P. Currently enrolled students at the University of Georgia have the chance to enter the showcase and have a TED-like experience as they share their own "idea worth spreading." From this group of students, a select number will be chosen to present on the TEDxUGA stage in March 2019.
Showcase applications are due SUNDAY, September 30, 2018 at 11:59P. We will hold information sessions on Monday, September 10 at 10A, Wednesday, September 12 at 3:30P, Tuesday, September 18th at 5P, and Thursday, September 20 at 11a in the New Media Institute, room 411 (4th Floor Journalism). Finalists will be asked to participate in a short interview during the week of October 1.

We need big ideas! What’s an idea?Ideas convey a presenter’s unique point of view on a topic and convey a clear “what’s at stake” for those who do or do not adopt that point of view.
Ideas are not just topics, questions, predictions, facts, opinions, stories, motivations, or advice alone.
What we are looking for:- A unique idea and/or perspective - Experience or demonstrated interest with your idea- A reason people should listen to your idea- A call to action for the audience
