This form is to sign up to take the CERT training in Tooele County. It will be done in a hybrid way. There will be an online course part, an online discussion part, then a hands-on in person day on February 21.

The CERT training is held in 3 parts.

The first part is the course that you need to take online. It will need to be finished by February 18, 2026 so you are ready for the next part. It takes approximately 16 hours. We will send you the link when we receive this form.

The second part is an online discussion that will be on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 7:00 pm. It will last about an hour to an hour and a half. The link will be sent later. This discussion is a mandatory part of the course as we can discuss questions you may have before we do the Hands On day.

Then the third part is the hands on Training day on Saturday, February 21, 2026, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. It will be a full day so you will need to bring your own lunch, snacks, and water. You will not be CERT trained without this part.  Please wear clothes that are comfortable and can get dirty. And wear sturdy shoes. And dress accordingly for the weather outside because we will be doing some activities outside.

The course is a team training course so there needs to be at least 10 people who have completed their online portion of the training. If there is not 10 people we will have to reschedule another time. Hopefully that won't happen because the next training won't be held until next fall, so please make sure you do all the online training before Feb. 18, 2026. It is critical that if you sign up that you make sure you finish all that is required.
