Founded in 2016, the TAH DAH! Foundation believes that every young person deserves to have access to resources and opportunities that support their learning, growth and development. Our efforts focus on impacting K-12 and young adults who are differently- abled, special needs and/or at-risk youth in schools, after-school programs, summer camps, homeless shelters and community-based organizations.

Grant Process Applications are evaluated by the TAH DAH! Foundation Board members before making final funding decisions. In dire or unexpected circumstances, the TAH DAH! Foundation reserves the right to make exceptions to any policy or procedure on a case-by-case basis.
Ownership, Copyrights, Royalties, & Credit The TAH DAH! Foundation does not claim ownership, copyrights, royalties, or other claim to artwork produced as a result of a grant. However, The TAH DAH! Foundation reserves the right to reproduce and use such material for official, noncommercial purpose, including but not limited to use on The TAH DAH! Foundation website, social media and print materials. In addition, The TAH DAH! Foundation requires documentation of grants activity, and appropriate credit for The TAH DAH! Foundation partial support.

Eligibility and Program Requirements
· Be incorporated with a mission identifying youth arts education as a priority reason for the organization’s existence.
· All applicant organizations must be consistently engaged with underserved youth in K-12 arts programs and/or services for three years prior to the application.
· Located and primarily offering programming in the United States, with particular emphasis in California.
· Be prepared to use the funds within one year of receipt, but within the grant fiscal year.
· The applicant must demonstrate proof of nonprofit status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
· All applicants must submit all required application materials and information at the time of submission. Incomplete applications are ineligible and will not be reviewed by the Executive Director/Board.
Program Goals Programs should address the following goals:
· Present a vision for enhancing the social, emotional, or environmental livability of a community through the arts that supports all K-12 students and young adults of that community.
· Build partnerships between the applicant organization and the TAH DAH! Foundation.
· Engage community members and generate meaningful impact within a defined community.
· Engage local artists.
Program Requirements · Program must be focused on impacting K-12 and young adults who are differently- abled, special needs and/or at-risk youth in schools, after-school programs, summer camps, homeless shelters and community-based organizations.
· The program must be an expansion of an existing program or a new program. The TAH DAH! Foundation funding does not support ongoing operational costs but encourages building sustainable partnerships that foster long-term arts and infrastructure within the community.
· Programs must be a duration of 8 weeks, 10 weeks, or 12 weeks. The TAH DAH Foundation will not fund one-time program/event. *Fall programs less than 8 weeks will not be considered. However summer programs may have a 6 week minimum.
Funding Restrictions The TAH DAH! Foundation supports non-profit organizations with operating budgets less than $500,000.
Eligible Request Amounts Applicant organizations can request up to $5,000.
Matching Funds The TAH DAH! Foundation does not require matching funds for this grant.
What The TAH DAH Foundation Does Not Fund · Individuals (as applicants)
· Hospitality or food costs
· State agencies (as applicants)
· Federal agencies (as applicants)
· For-profit organizations (as applicants)
· Fundraising activities or services such as annual campaigns, fundraising events or grant writing
· Equipment
· Debt repayment
· Out-of-state travel
· Expenses incurred before the start date or after the ending date of the grant activity period
· Lobbying activities that are intended to influence the actions, policies, or decisions of government officials or specific legislation.
Review Criteria Reviewers will consider the following criteria in evaluating applications: Program Impact, Mission Alignment, and Community Engagement.
We believe nonprofits are best positioned to understand and respond to the needs of the people and communities they serve. We invest in organizations whose work strengthens the broader fabric of their communities and creates meaningful, lasting impact.
Our funding primarily supports programmatic efforts, with a priority on organizations delivering direct services that meet immediate and critical needs.
