When the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, they took away our federal constitutional right to abortion and our power to control our own bodies. Since then, many states have banned abortion.
Due to this country's legacy of systemic racism and discrimination, these bans most harm people who have long faced barriers to care: those in Black, Latino, and Indigenous communities, people in rural areas, people with low incomes, and LGBTQ+ communities. We are outraged, and we are acting boldly to turn that outrage into action.
But we cannot act alone. Now more than ever, movement allies, spanning every issue area — from human rights to health care delivery — have a stake in the future of abortion rights. Join Planned Parenthood in the fight.
