ESSCO Working Group Application
Thank you for your interest in an ESSCO Working Group! Our Working Groups conduct research into topics relevant to our members and aim to provide reports, data and presentations that can be used to support our advocacy services. Most importantly, our Working Groups deliver implementable, effective solutions that our member schools can draw from for the operation of their own societies, for running ESSCO activities, and for improvement of their communities.

Each Working Group is managed by one or two chairs, who will provide direction for your working group team. For more information, contact each team's leads using the emails below and check out our new Advocacy page!

We are currently accepting applications for the following 2019 - 2020 Working Groups:

Sustainability Working Group |
The Sustainability Working Group collects information about sustainability initiatives from ESSCO and shares these ideas with other engineering societies, in order to foster a strong presence of sustainable design.

Academic Teaching Quality - Working Group |
The Teaching Quality Working Group will be researching educators' teaching strategies and analyzing them to discover the most effective instruction methods.

EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Working Group |
The EDI Working Group will be conducting research into the state of EDI at our member schools. This group will provide materials for a broad range of EDI advocacy, as well as resources for member schools to understand and uphold equity, diversity, and inclusion at their own schools.

Ancillary Fee Working Group |
The Ancillary Fee working Group will be conducting research into the impact of the Student Choice Initiative on engineering societies in Ontario. This group will provide a list of recommendations for managing changes due to the SCI, as well a comprehensive understanding of the effect of SCI across the province.
