FALL 2026 COURSE OFFERINGS

MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL ASL I — GRADES 6–12

Students will develop a practical foundation in American Sign Language while studying fingerspelling, vocabulary, ASL grammar, Deaf culture, and conversational communication.

• Mondays, 10:00–11:30 a.m. — In person in Lake City
• Wednesdays, 1:00–1:45 p.m. — Live online practice
• Maximum of 8 students
• More than 33 hours of live instruction
• Grading, Google Classroom, and individualized feedback
• Designed to support a parent-awarded 0.5 high-school world-language credit
• Fall 2026 introductory tuition: $395
• Payment option: Five monthly payments of $79

ELEMENTARY ASL — GRADES K–5

Elementary ASL introduces students to practical signs, fingerspelling, visual communication, and Deaf culture through games, memorization, recitation, and other age-appropriate activities.

• Mondays, 12:30–1:30 p.m. — In person in Lake City
• Parent resources for practice at home
• Fall 2026 introductory tuition: $175
• Payment option: Five monthly payments of $35

BIBLICAL GREEK I — GRADES 6–12

Students will begin learning the alphabet, vocabulary, grammar, and reading skills necessary for working with the Greek New Testament. This course combines structured language study with guided practice using the biblical text.

• Wednesdays, 10:00–11:30 a.m. — In person in Lake City
• Mondays, 2:00–2:45 p.m. — Live online practice
• Small-group instruction
• Grading, Google Classroom, and individualized feedback
• Designed to support a parent-awarded 0.5 high-school language elective credit
• Fall 2026 introductory tuition: $395
• Payment option: Five monthly payments of $79
• This class is currently forming and will be confirmed once minimum enrollment is reached.

A $25 family discount is available for each additional student or second course from the same household.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Ryan Smallwood holds a Master of Divinity, an M.A. in Ministry, and a B.A. in Biblical Studies. He is a CODA with more than ten years of professional American Sign Language interpreting experience. Ryan is also a homeschool parent and serves as the Youth Minister for the Lake City church of Christ.
