NASA Participating Scientist Questionnaire
This questionnaire is regarding Participating Scientist (PS) experiences within NASA Planetary missions, and perceptions about PS programs. It is part of a study being undertaken by the NASA Assessment/Advisory Groups (OPAG, MEPAG, VEXAG, SBAG, LEAG, and CAPTEM), with the purpose of investigating the value of these programs and how their usefulness to NASA might be increased. The outcome of the study will be a white paper, which will be delivered to NASA and made available to the scientific community. We are interested in your opinions whether or not you have been a PS on a planetary mission. We will be contacting mission Principle Investigators and Project Scientists separately about their experiences, but all are welcome to fill out this survey; please answer as many or as few questions as you wish.

If you have questions, please contact Louise.Prockter@jhuapl.edu.

Please note:
1. For the purposes of this survey, we include Guest Investigators and Interdisciplinary Scientists as a type of Participating Scientist. It is your choice to specify whether you held one of these positions.

2. All answers will be treated in strict confidence.
