Candidates are to write a brief essay that outlines the leadership positions that they have held in scouting and also how they plan on "giving back" to the Firecrafter program in the future. Examples could include doing a service project, working at the State Fair Dairy Bar in the future to help replenish scholarship funds, leadership in Firecrafter or Firecrafter-related leadership in your unit. Please be as specific as possible. Essay should also include a brief explanation of the financial difficulty that would prevent the youth or adult Firecrafter candidate from attending a ritual without the assistance of this scholarship.
If a candidate receives a scholarship, but unforeseen circumstances result in missing this year’s Ritual or if the first 12 requirements are completed week 9 of summer camp and the candidate cannot attend Grand Ritual, the scholarship will carry over to next year and the candidate will NOT have to reapply.
