Responsible for coordinating executive officers to execute the plans made by the society/Co-Chairs. The President is responsible for running the society and ultimately, takes the responsibility for the organization of the events. Requires good leadership, organization and communication skills.
2. Internal Affairs Officer
Responsible for internal organisation and coordination between officers and communication with the society's members. This individual produces the Newsletter, manages the society's mailing list and membership data base, follows up member enquiries and takes minutes in committee meetings.
Responsible for designing the society budget for the year, allocating and processing funds, reimbursements etc. and ensuring all procedures are followed when dealing with money, such that there are clear paper-trails, member details are kept safe, and all transactions are carefully recorded wherever they take place. Will work closely with the Corporate Liaison in managing sponsorships.
4. Events Officer
Responsible for inviting and communicating with internal/external speakers, arranging and booking venues and equipment. This individual will also manage corresponding logistics (time at which to obtain equipment, ensure return by deadlines etc.) and ensures the event goes smoothly.
5. Publicity Officer
Responsible for designing and distributing promotional material for the various activities of the society, including the designs of posters, leaflets etc. This individual must ensure that the events are properly publicized to the relevant societies, colleges etc. Knowledge of graphics editing programs (Photoshop) is strongly preferred.
6. IT Officer
The IT officer is responsible for creating and maintaining our society website or other forms of social media. These aim to act as a networking platform for people in Cambridge who like to travel. Technical skills needed.
