2019 National Deaf Education Conference Workshop Proposal
We look forward to your workshop proposal- please submit by October 17th and share word with as many other teachers from ANY setting (deaf school, mainstream, itinerant, charter, and more) to submit away! Each workshop will be 75 minutes and required to include hands-on activities/demonstration for 25 minutes total. A room with a projector and laptop will be provided for each workshop.

Community Engagement- how to work with organizations, parents/families, different backgrounds/identities of children, and bring community to the classroom/school
Language & Learning- bilingual strategies in acquiring language, language development, including students that are Deaf plus, multilingual, and immigrants
Professional Collaboration- how to cross fields and work together, itinerant teachers, mainstream teachers, audiologists, slps, deaf school teachers, early intervention
STEM- bilingual strategies in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, including visual strategies, and innovations in teaching
Social Studies- bilingual strategies in social studies, including novel approaches to teaching social studies to deaf learners
