First step to be a Planktonaut!
Welcome !

We are constantly looking for new Planctonautes, people like you, motivated and ready to engage in this collective exploration of the oceans.

===== The next sampling campaign will be launched in early 2020. =====

DNA-barcoding protocols are up-to-date and functional. We are consolidating version 1.0 of the PlanktoScope (which will make both plankton films / images + quantitative flow imagery for quantitative ecology), and we are also developing a new small High-speed net to prevent browsers from slowing down too much. These two essential tools will be ready by the end of 2019.
If you allow us, put your details in the list of "Planktonauts 2020" and we will keep you informed of our progress.

For efficiency, we released this registration form to inventory all offshore sailors, departing or in a context of navigation, which would participate in the study of plankton. This listing will allow us to contact you based on developments of the research program (study area, time of year, etc.).

Note that the sample rate we will ask you will be at maximum from 2 to 3 sampling points per week (in favorable weather). Each sample will ask an average of 1 hour of work.
If you would like more information before APPLY, please feel free to contact us directly via the contact form at the bottom of this page in the shaded area.
