MannMukti Youth Fellowship 2022 Application
MannMukti’s Youth Fellowship is a 6 month, virtual, volunteer, part-time opportunity for high school students to get involved in mental health advocacy. It is open to any person (ages 13 - 18) from the South Asian diaspora.

Our goal, as an organization, is to normalize mental health and mental wellbeing discourse within South Asian communities through storytelling and providing access to resources to combat stigma. Our goal, through this fellowship, is to create a safe space for youth to explore these identity-oriented conversations alongside experts, educators and advocates. We hope to connect you to a community that supports you in having these vulnerable conversations and help you empower yourself.

The program is split into two parts: Educational Curriculum and Capstone Accelerator.

(1) The Education Curriculum is a 14 week program structured in a weekly (1 hr) lecture and weekend (2 hr) discussion format. The program curriculum is centered on the mental health needs within the South Asian Diaspora. These lectures and discussions will be led by an incredible selection of speakers, educators and advocates from several notable advocacy and community organizations.

(2) The Capstone Accelerator is a 10 week program where students will have the opportunity to build their own advocacy projects. Under MannMukti’s guidance, students will be able to take a social-impact idea and build out a community-oriented project.

The program will be launching in May 2022 and conclude in November 2022. Given the structure of the program, we require that applicants can dedicate 5-8hrs / week towards the fellowship for the entire duration.

Deadline to apply: April 4, 2022 by 11:59pm PST

* While there is no cost to applying - if selected into the cohort, you would have to pay a materials fee (for all the education materials involved in the fellowship). Waivers are available :)
