NorCal OUTreach Project Board Member Application
Our Mission
NorCal OUTreach Project supports and unites the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies through social connection, public events, support groups, and educational training. We celebrate diversity, practice cultural humility, and foster health/wellbeing. Our work increases visibility, understanding, and acceptance to make rural Northern California safer and more inclusive for all.

Board Member Role

As a governing leader, you will:

  • Guide Strategy: Ensure programs align with our mission and serve rural LGBTQIA+ needs.
  • Govern & Fundraise: Oversee finances, policies, and help secure grants/donations.
  • Amplify Visibility: Represent NorCal OUTreach at events or in media.
  • Drive Inclusion: Advocate for intersectional diversity (race, disability, age, etc.).
  • Commit Time: Attend monthly board meetings + committee work.
We’re Seeking Board Members Who Bring:

  • Passion for LGBTQIA+ equity in rural communities.
  • Skills in nonprofit management, fundraising, event planning, mental health, law, marketing, or education.
  • Lived experience or cultural humility with marginalized identities (QTBIPOC, trans/nonbinary, disabled, etc.).
  • Connections to local businesses, donors, or grassroots networks.
  • Over 18 years of Age

No prior board experience required! We value diverse perspectives.
