Submit a Session Proposal for Bmore Historic 2026
Please use this form to propose a one-hour session for Bmore Historic 2026, which will take place at the Baltimore Museum of Industry on Friday, September 25, 2026.

Be sure to click here first to learn more about proposing a session in the spirit of an unconference. This shouldn't be an academic presentation or panel, but something more interactive geared towards maximizing audience engagement. 

Each session needs at least one facilitator, but we strongly encourage sessions that include two or more facilitators. 

We suggest that session facilitators discuss a topic for around the first 5-10 minutes of each one-hour session and that they then suggest thoughtful questions for generating discussion for the remaining portion of the session.

We expect that everyone in the room, including those leading the discussion, use a microphone. In the spirit of the discussion-based model of the unconference, we discourage the use of powerpoint presentations and slides in session. If these would be essential to your session, please note in the description.

Each attendee is limited to proposing one session for the day. Sessions by authors discussing their publications are discouraged.

On the morning of the event, all Bmore Historic participants will vote on these proposals (and probably come up with several new ones), and then unconference organizers will work out how best to put those sessions into a schedule. 

This form will be live until 5:00 pm on September 24. If you would like to submit a proposal after that, please plan to propose it in person the morning of September 25.

Example: The story of development in neighborhoods like Poppleton and Sharp-Leadenhall illustrate how Baltimore City failed to see and hear the people of historically Black neighborhoods and preserve that history. How can we work collectively across the city for development without displacement? How can we center equity in preservation in Baltimore? What do legacy residents of the city's Black neighborhoods deserve?
