Survey on Gathering In-Person for Worship
As we consider options for in-person worship at St. John's over the next few months, we invite you and other teens or adults in your household to complete the following 14-question survey by Fri, April 9.

As you do, please be aware of current, diocesan-mandated safety protocols that are in place at St. John's:

1. In-person attendance is currently limited to 30% of legal capacity (so long as 6-foot physical distancing between households is also maintained.) At St. John's this means we can have 25 - 40 individuals attending in-person at each indoor Sunday service (depending on size of household). Outdoor services are limited to 50-100 persons (whatever is do-able while also maintaining social distance requirements.)

2. You may not attend in-person if you have ANY symptoms of illness (including symptoms you may attribute to allergies).

3. There is no indoor singing by the congregation. Congregational singing is allowed outdoors if households maintain 10 feet distance.

4. Everyone must be properly masked and will be seated by an usher at least 6 ft from persons not in their household. (Other persons may temporarily pass less than 6 ft from you. Those instances will be minimal.)

5. Communion is distributed from a standing station at the front. It will be offered in one "kind" only (i.e., wafers), and is to be consumed after you return to your seat.

6. All windows and doors are fully open for ventilation (reduce any concentration of viral particles), regardless of outdoor temperature.

7. All attendees will refrain from mingling and chatting with other attendees while in the building.

8. Only one person is allowed in a restroom at a time, and will need to sanitize touched surfaces after use.

9. Commonly touched surfaces like pews, doorknobs, lectern, etc. need to be sanitized between back-to-back services.

Other important information impacting our options for in-person services at this time:

1. Our temporary musician is not available after 10 am on Sundays.

2. Our Youth Group (EYC) currently meets at 10 am Sundays (mostly online) and Godly Play for younger children and families meets at 10:30 am on Sundays (thru May).

3. The bishop's protocols do not currently allow us to offer Nursery care, and we are planning to keep Sunday School online through May.

As you respond, please keep in mind that, at this time, we are only planning options for late spring and summer. By fall we MAY have the opportunity to gather in larger numbers with fewer restrictions, and other factors may influence decision-making at that point as well. THANK YOU!!
