The Red Devil C.O.R.E. at N-CHS 2025-26 Application
Thank you for your interest in the Red Devil C.O.R.E (Comprehensive Opportunities through Rigor and Enrichment) here at Newton-Conover High School. We are excited to offer this program for our fifth group of incoming freshmen for the 2025-2026 school year. This 21st century program focuses on preparations for future success not only in college, but also in the workforce. There are many aspects of our program that are unique to the Red Devil C.O.R.E. that we are excited to present.

Goals and Objectives:                                                                                                        
* To provide students with opportunities to achieve success in a culture of academic excellence and rigor                                                                                                                                                
 * To provide the opportunity for college credits earned in high school through Advanced Placement classes                                                                                
* To offer support through teachers specially trained by the College Board                                                                                             * To provide opportunities for personal growth through special programs, service, and travel
Requirements:
1) Meet all graduation requirements as specified by the district and the state.
2) Meet the requirements set by the Red Devil C.O.R.E.
* A minimum of 10 AP/CCP classes during students' four years, according to the schedule set by the C.O.R.E. guidelines.
* 50 hours (~12.5 hours/year) of community service during high school years, as determined by C.O.R.E. standards and regulations.
