The California Immigrant Policy Center (CIPC) and Immigrants Rising are pleased to announce the launch of Economic Mobility for All (EM4A) - a new statewide campaign dedicated to expanding access to career, training, and education opportunities, such as but not limited to professional licensing and entrepreneurship, for all Californians regardless of their backgrounds, immigration status, or English language proficiency.
Our Mission
Economic Mobility for All (EM4A) is a statewide coalition of community organizations, advocates, and individuals committed to identifying and removing barriers to accessing career, training, and education opportunities, such as but not limited to professional licensing and entrepreneurship, that prevent excluded individuals from being able to support themselves and their loved ones on their terms.
Our Vision
All individuals, regardless of their backgrounds, immigration status, or language proficiency, are able to work with dignity and respect in any profession, as well as have access to the resources, knowledge, and worker protections necessary for them to secure economic security, and support themselves and their loved ones on their terms.
What We Do
- Organize, and advocate for state policy solutions that address barriers that preclude individuals from accessing career, training, and education opportunities on the basis of their background, immigration status, or level of English-language proficiency.
Provide resources and training for organizations and individuals on California’s professional licensing and entrepreneurship regulatory framework, and processes.
Research, analyze, and popularize data on key figures and trends around career, training, and education for immigrants in California.
Engage with state regulatory agencies that oversee workforce development programs to remove barriers to access, connect them with impacted community individuals, and advance recommendations to address access concerns.
Please fill in this form if you would like to join the coalition.
