Meetups at the Embassy: Embassy of Japan 2025

Dear All,

The Science Policy and Diplomacy Group at Johns Hopkins (SPDG) is holding the first “Meetups at the Embassy” series event for the academic year. We would like to invite you to visit the Embassy of Japan (2520 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, DC 20008) in Washington, D.C., on Monday, November 10th, 3:00-4:30pm. 

This will be an opportunity to interact with members from the Embassy of Japan and to learn more about the development of the U.S. - Japan bilateral relationship in science diplomacy. 

If you are interested in attending, please complete this form by Friday, Oct 31st 11:59 PM. Spots are available for a total of 50 JHU graduate students from DC and Baltimore-based graduate schools. If selected, you will be notified via email with confirmation of your spot and will be given further details about all logistics.

Please note that an identity check will be required for the visit, and you will need to bring a passport (any country) or a US-issued photo ID. The dress code will be business formal.

Funds will be available to offset costs for the MARC train for Baltimore students traveling to DC.
