The Manchester Christmas Dinner Guest Registration Form

The Manchester Christmas Dinner, was founded in in 2013 by poet and writer, Lemn Sissay.  Since 2013 the idea has spread across the UK. Each Dinner has its own local flavour, and is organised by teams of volunteers drawn from the local community. They come together to provide a special and fun-filled Christmas day for young adult care leavers aged between the ages of 18 and 25 who otherwise would be alone on Christmas Day.

The 2023 Manchester Dinner will start about 12 noon and continue until about 5:00pm, and we will confirm the specific times nearer the day.

A group of carefully chosen Hosts will be available all day on Christmas day to make the event a really amazing and memorable on for the young people. Transport to and from the event will be provided on the day.  We would like to invite applications to be Guests from care experienced young people aged between 18 and 25 years; young adults who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day. We welcome young people from all ethnic backgrounds and faiths who are living in the local area.

This form is intended to gather basic information about the Guest who would like to be included in this event. This is required to enable us to make this a success for those who will be joining us.

With the Guest’s prior consent, where at all possible, this form needs to be completed by a professional worker, but we will happily accept registrations from young people themselves where this is not possible.

All information will be stored in accordance with GDPR data protection legislation and will only be used in relation to contacting the young person in order to confirm arrangements if they are allocated a place at the event.

We are really sorry, but we are unable to cater for Guests accompanied by children or babies this year.
