In July 2024, The Mountbatten School will be embarking on the school's second sports tour to South Africa. We will be travelling with 66 students and 7 staff from our Football, Netball and Rugby squads.
As part of the tour, students commit to a two year project which involves significant fundraising and charity work. Since 2014 our tours have supported the charity Pebbles Project.

The Pebbles Project enables children from farming communities in the Western Cape of South Africa to access quality education programmes and health, nutrition and social work services. Since their inception in 2004, they have positively impacted the lives of thousands of children by partnering with local farms to establish and manage Early Childhood Development and After-School Clubs for farm workers children who either live on the farm or their parents are employed by the farm.
As tour leader, I feel it is vitally important that students experience the impact of charity. Our students will be visiting Pebbles Project at one of their hub sites so the touring students will be able to experience, first hand, where and how their hard work and fundraising can benefit those less fortunate.
So far the students and staff have raised in excess of £6000 for the charity and are aiming to raise more through this charity blind auction.
Thank you for your support and generous donations, 100% of the money raised will be going to Pebbles Project.
Deadline for bids is Wednesday 10 July 2024.
Bids will then be reviewed and the winners will be contacted.
Kindest Regards
Mr Tom Robinson
