2018 Nisei Student Relocation Commemorative Fund Scholarship Application

Dear Student:

You are invited to submit an application to the scholarships provided by the Nisei Student Relocation Commemorative Fund (NSRCF).

The NSRCF was founded in 1980 by Nisei (second generation Japanese Americans) who were incarcerated in U.S. internment camps during World War II. 4,600 Nisei college students were assisted by the National Japanese American Student Relocation Council to leave the internment camps and continue their educations. The NSRCF was created to honor those who helped the Japanese American students during World War II by assisting others in furthering their educations.

Since 1983, the NSRC Fund has awarded over 900 scholarships totaling $964,000 to Southeast Asian high school students in cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Minneapolis, Houston, Denver, Philadelphia, Seattle, Boston, Sacramento, Fresno, and New York City.
