CCSD93 8th Graders Invited to Purchase MacBook Air Computers for $200
Families of all graduating 8th grade students are invited to purchase a District-owned MacBook Air laptop computer for $200. Participating students will purchase the computer that they have utilized for the past three years. Those who have been in the District for less than three years will purchase a separate three-year-old MacBook. Before being released to students, the MacBooks will be reset to factory settings.

Making Your Purchase
In order to purchase a MacBook, any outstanding fees owed to the District must be paid in full. You may choose from two payment options.

CCSD93 offers a one-time payment option and a four-month payment plan. This form is intended for the four-month payment plan. If you wish to purchase via a one-time payment, visit www.ccsd93.com/MacPurchase.

By completing the form here, you are committing to the four-month payment plan option. Four (4) equal monthly installments of $50 are due by February 24, March 21, April 18 and May 12. If you are completing this form after February 24, please make a double payment of $100 by March 21 with additional $50 payments on April 18 and May 12.

Payments should be made by debit card, credit card, cash or personal check at your child’s middle school during school office hours. Debit and credit card payments may be submitted over the phone.

If you are unable to make payments during school hours, you may instead pay by cash or personal check at CCSD93’s drop box at CCSD93’s District Office (230 Covington Drive in Bloomingdale). In this case, payment should be placed in a sealed envelope with your child’s full name and school ID number clearly marked on the outside and submitted by each month’s deadline to the drop box. The drop box is located next to the main entrance door.

Final payment plan installments cannot be made via check.
Computer Collection & Redistribution
CCSD93 will follow up near the end of the school year with more details regarding collection of computers for reimaging and redistribution back to families.
Purchase Agreement
This Agreement is made and entered into on the date indicated on this form below by and between Community Consolidated School District No. 93, DuPage County, Illinois (the “District”), and the undersigned, being the parent or guardian of the above-listed student, an 8th grade student in the District (the “Purchaser”).

1. The District agrees to sell to the Purchaser and the Purchaser agrees to purchase from the District, the three (3) year old used MacBook Computer that the student has been using, with accompanying carrying case and power cord for Two Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($200.00).  This Agreement applies only to used MacBook Computers that are three (3) years old.  If the student is using a computer that is less than three (3) years old, the student will be purchasing a three (3) year old used MacBook Computer (rather than the newer computer that was issued to the student).  

2. Possession of the Computer will be transferred to the student after the computer is reimaged by the District after the last attendance day of this school year.  

3. The Purchaser agrees to purchase the Computer in “as-is” condition and with the understanding that the District is selling the Computer without any warranties, express or implied.  

4. The Purchaser acknowledges and agrees that the District is not responsible for any problems with the Computer, including but not limited to malfunctions or damage, once the Purchaser has taken possession of the Computer.  

5. The Purchaser also acknowledges and agrees that all licensed software will be removed from the Computer by the District, prior to delivery of the Computer to the Purchaser.

6. Purchaser further acknowledges and agrees that all sales are final, and that Purchaser may not, under any circumstances, return the Computer to the District or obtain a refund.  

7. The District represents and certifies that the Computer will be transferred to the Purchaser free from all liens and encumbrances.

8. The Purchaser hereby certifies that the Computer has been inspected by the Purchaser and is acceptable to the Purchaser.

9. In order to purchase and take ownership of a MacBook from the District, any outstanding fees owed by the Purchaser to the District must be paid in full by the Purchaser.

10. Purchaser agrees to make payments to the District as indicated in the chosen Payment Option.
