2020 DRI Survey: Round 5
The Development Chenango Corporation will be reapplying for the DRI (Downtown Revitalization Initiative) funds that are available through New York State this May 2020.

Governor Cuomo’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) is transforming downtown neighborhoods into vibrant communities where New Yorkers want to live, work and raise families. Entering it's fifth year, the program will invest $100 million into 10 additional downtown neighborhoods across the state. Participating communities are nominated by the state’s ten Regional Economic Development Councils (REDCs) based on the downtown’s potential for transformation, and each community is awarded $10 million to develop a downtown strategic investment plan and implement key catalytic projects that advance the community’s vision for revitalization. As the DRI Steering Committee begins to work on the 2020 application, we want to make sure that all members of our community have an opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas. This survey is an attempt to find out what strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and possible future projects may be for the City of Norwich. We hope you will take a few minutes to share your ideas with us.

Please note that not all projects and ideas shared will automatically be part of the application. The Steering Committee will evaluate all of the ideas submitted and may possibly reach out for more information, or may ask you to serve in a work group or as an adviser.

While a "boundary area" needs to be established for the final proposal, one has not yet been identified for the Round 5 application. Please feel free to discuss ideas outside of our traditional "Main Street".

In an attempt to make our application stronger, we are working to identify an overall theme for our DRI application ... some of the questions below are to help us identify possible themes and projects that will strengthen our application.
