ELJJ Clinical Experience Assessment Form
The purpose of this Assessment Form is to document the development of ELJJ teacher candidates at the end of the fall and spring semesters. The assessment is organized according to ELJJ programmatic criteria and Teacher Performance Expectations (TPE), respectively. For each criterion, students teachers, cooperating teachers, and student teaching supervisors are expected to examine evidence they have for abilities and development as demonstrated at the placement and select the level that best represents the evidence. In addition, student teachers are required to write a brief comment regarding strengths and goals for each criterion and TPE; cooperating teachers and supervisors are encouraged to do so as well.
The first two criteria represent core ELJJ values of care and anti-racist teaching. In addition to marking an appropriate score for each criterion, please enter comments about the teacher candidate's strengths, areas of growth, as well as areas of possible future growth. The final six items correspond to the TPEs.
Feedback from supervisors and CTs will be shared with the student teacher. The Professional Development Plan (Spring) is intended to serve as a guide for candidates as they embark in their careers and work with induction programs toward a clear credential.
