Learn about the We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution curriculum, issues in civic education, and opportunities to be involved in the James Madison Legacy Project. Stay for the high school State Finals of We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution on Friday and witness the power of Simulated Congressional Hearings.

Friday's agenda includes options to work with Paula McAvoy on Structured Academic Controversies and/or to participate in a learning lab viewing of the We the People State Finals simulated Congressional Hearing. These will be a short walk to the Capitol Complex. A full schedule can be found online. Friday's conference is an additional $75 to cover breakfast, lunch, and materials.

By registering, I acknowledge the Michigan Center for Civic Education (MCCE) may use the likeness, images, video, and names of students and adults affiliated with my school’s participation. I understand the above may be used for press releases, MCCE social media, school communications, video promotions, and other related communications. Should a student, school, or member choose to withdraw from this agreement, the school or participant has an affirmative obligation to submit written notification to MCCE staff who will sign the document prior to the beginning of an event.

Please write your name and January conference on the note line. You must enter the conference fee amount in the box in the donation amount field. Please Note: There is a $10.00 per transaction fee for online registration added to the pricing--it is the fee we are charged by Pay Pal.
If you are paying $75.00 for one day, please enter $85.00 to include the transaction fee.
If you are paying $150 for both days, please enter $160.00 to include the transaction fee.
