We thank you for your interest and consideration in joining the E2S Board of Directors. This symbolizes an important opportunity to actively engage with our community and contribute to the mission of E2S. We are thrilled about this pivotal moment for E2S, as the board transitions from a working board to a governance board, supported by our newly hired staff who will implement initiatives for the organization, it's members, and the broader community.

E2S is accepting applications for the following Board Member positions:

• Directors-at-Large

Board members must:
• Be of legal age (18+)
• Be a resident of Alberta, Canada (as meetings are face to face)
• Be able to provide proof of Indigeneity (Treaty Status, Metis Status, Family Tree)

By completing this form, you are submitting your application for a Board position with E2S. If you would like to nominate someone who you believe would be a valuable asset to the organization and its mission, please discuss the opportunity with them and encourage them to complete this application.

Board members positions are ongoing and new members are ratified by membership at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Board positions typically require a commitment of two (2) years. In nonprofit organizations, it is common practice to welcome new Board Members, as they contribute fresh perspectives on the evolving communities we serve.

The board of directors typically provides leadership and guides the strategic direction of an organization. Boards govern nonprofits on behalf of their members and act as fiduciaries or trustees, steering the organization toward a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies. Additionally, they ensure that the nonprofit has the adequate resources needed to further its mission.
