This form is for a School or Organisation to register an interest for a 'Gurdwara Educational Visit' at SGGSJ Telford.
Did you know? We host or visit more than 3,500 children every year!
A typical Gurdwara visit lasts 90 minutes and consists of an overview of the Sikh way of life (by a practicing Sikh) plus an opportunity to ask unlimited questions, hold Sikh artefacts, listen to musical instruments through guided meditation, voluntary dress-up and a free vegetarian meal from the community kitchen (Langar).
We are only able to host from 12:30 - 14:00 with our free meal service starting at 12:30, followed by an interactive overview of our faith.
Though there is no charge for this service - as the Gurdwara is funded with the support of countless volunteers and generous community donations - a donation is always welcome to continue supporting our work. You can donate via. our website or our digital donation plates in the lobby.
We aim to deliver a memorable learning experience, share teachings, and increase tolerance.
This form can also be used to request a Volunteer visit to your School/Organisation.
Please Note:
- If attending the Gurdwara, could visitors bring their own headscarves - not hats or caps - or we can provide them on the day if required.
- The Gurdwara site is a place of worship, please do not bring or come under the influence of drugs, alcohol, tobacco or vapes.
