2019 APA Iowa Mentor Match Program - Mentor Application
APA Iowa's Mentor Match program will connect you with an emerging professional to meet and network with during the APA Iowa Chapter Annual Conference in Iowa City, IA on October 9-11, 2019. We ask that you be willing to be assigned to more than one protégé.

We will give you the protégé's contact information (and he or she will be provided with yours) prior to the start of the conference. Then APA will host a meet-up orientation on Thursday, October 10th from 10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. where you will have the chance to meet your protégé(s) face-to-face and get things started. PLEASE NOTE: you MUST attend this session in order to participate. You are encouraged to contact your protégé in advance to introduce yourself.

Then, throughout the conference you may choose to connect up at various sessions, receptions and networking events. Your commitment to the program only extends through the end of the conference, unless otherwise agreed upon with your protégé.

Guidance may include (but is not limited to) the following:
-Professional development, job hunting, resume review, interview skills, understanding different career paths for planners, involvement within APA, etc.
-Making the most of networking events, meeting other members, etc.

Matches will be announced no later than October 1, 2019.
