We invite you to apply for a partial scholarship for your child to attend Fresh Air Academy. You may apply for one scholarship per child. Partial scholarships will be based on available funds.

With its scholarship program, Indian Creek Nature Center is choosing to address overall barriers to increase access to outdoor education for children who statistically have the least access to this type of nature-based, immersive outdoor experience. Our goal is to make nature based education more equitable and inclusive and to diversify outdoor recreational spaces through greater representation. ICNC staff believe that this has a far-reaching impact and will create Champions of Nature for these children and their families. This legacy will impact future generations and address racist and discriminatory policies that still linger in outdoor spaces.

Our scholarship program focuses on reducing barriers to access for children from: racial or ethnic backgrounds reflective of the full diversity of our community, children from LGBTQ+ families, young girls' access to STEAM programming, and financial barriers to attending Fresh Air Academy. Building a new scholarship system is yet another way ICNC is a leader in the outdoor education field.
